It’s more than just a piece of 3? tubing! The entry sits next to the fog light, near the opening in the splash guard, using the maximum length possible giving the air more time to reach velocity. The exit is tapered to 3.5? since that’s the size of the BK2 3.8 throttle body. This reduces the affect of ballooning, allowing the air to continue with the momentum it has built up.
This intake is a 2-piece design which allows for adjust-ability of the filter placement in the fender area; this is important for those with fog lights or brake ducts.
Heat Protection: Our true CAI are ceramic coated in glossy black to prevent heat soak, keeping the intake air temps nice and cool.
Important: This intake requires the deletion of the washer fluid reservoir. This kit does NOT contain a replacement reservoir or a relocation kit.
CARB Legal: NO!!! This intake is not currently carb legal.
Performance: Dyno testing showed a +13whp/+11wtq gain over the stock air box and showed and 5% gain over the injen SRI when cold and 20% gain when heat soaked.
